Pimples, we all get them from time to time. But there are many of us out there who have them constantly and they never seem to go away. In this article, we will walk through some tried and true, basic tips for getting rid of pimples.
While oftentimes getting rid of pimples requires the use of either over-the-counter or prescription medication, there are some tips for getting rid of pimples you can follow to help in your fight. The following 5 tips are ones I have used personally to help get rid of my pimples:
1. Wash your face - wash your face twice per day - once in the morning and once in the evening. While washing your face, use a gentle cleanser and do not use a wash cloth as this will only further irritate your skin.
2. Wash your hair daily - if you tend to have oily hair, this may hamper your ability to get rid of your pimples. This is because the oil from your hair can easily transfer to your face by either touching it directly or from your hands. This additional oil and dirt can cause further pimples.
3. Wash your hands - if you really pay attention, you probably touch your face more than you think. Your hands will invariably get dirty throughout the day, so when you touch your face, this dirt can transfer to your face, causing further pimples.
4. Wash your pillowcase frequently - as gross as it sounds, your pillowcase can get quite a build-up of dirt and grime. Be sure to wash it frequently so that this dirt does not get on your face.
5. Don't pop them - as tempting as it is to squeeze pimples, try not to. Squeezing the pimple can cause further irritation and swelling, which will only further aggravate your situation.
Ultimately, we all want that clean and clear skin. If followed correctly and religiously, these 5 tips for getting rid of pimples can help you succeed in attaining a clear face.

Acne Cleanse - What Does it Really Mean to "Cleanse?"
In today's market, you have so many choices when it comes to cleansing your face. But what does it really mean to "cleanse" your face? This entry discusses what you should really be trying to accomplish when you perform an acne cleanse on your face.
The first important decision you must make is what type of skin you have. Is it oily, dry or normal. Based on this determination, you can then proceed to find the best acne cleanse for your skin.
Once you find the appropriate acne cleanse, then you must proceed to cleansing your face. The whole point in cleansing your face is to rid your face of any dirt, oil and the like so that you can apply any type of medication that you may be taking.
Keep in mind that the actual dirt is not necessarily what causes the acne. The real cause could be any number of things which will need to be explored in another article. So, the point of the acne cleanse is to simply rid your face of the built-up dirt and oil.
I have found through my own experience and the experience of other acne sufferers that the best way to cleanse your face is as follows:
1. Wet your face gently with warm water.
2. Apply a small amount of the acne cleanser to your hands.
3. Apply the acne cleanser to your face with your hands in a gentle circular motion.
4. Rinse your face with the water, taking care not to rub it off of your face.
5. Dab your face dry. This is important - do not rub your face with the towel as this will only irritate your skin and could cause further breakouts.
Another point to make - make sure you use the acne cleanse no more than two times per day. More than this can cause irritation to the skin.
Following these tips, while not a cure for acne by any means, can help you along your path to getting rid of your acne.

Acne Cleanse - Make Sure You Choose the Proper Cleanser
When you choose an acne cleanser, make sure you choose correctly. What I have found is that there are generally 3 things you need to look for:
1. Make sure you choose the acne cleanser based on your skin type. You want to make sure your acne cleanser is appropriate depending on whether you have oily skin, dry skin or normal skin. Choosing the wrong acne cleanser can cause further irritation to your skin, which can cause further breakouts.
2. Choose a cleanser with minimal extra medications if you are taking a prescription medication. This extra "layer" of medication in the cleanser can make your prescription medication less effective.
3. Make sure that you choose an acne cleanser that is "mild" or "oil-free." You do not want to choose a cleanser that can cause further irritation because this can lead to further breakouts.
By following these tips when choosing an acne cleanser you are well on your way to getting rid of your acne.
